Daily reflections: Tuesday, December 22/15

Gospel Luke 1:46  Mary spent three months visiting with Elizabeth and spoke the words which we now call the Magnificat, a hymn of praise to God. We read the words of Mary” he adds scattered the proud , he has brought down the powerful from their thrones and lifted up the lowly, filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty”.  By these words we can see Mary\'s interest in social justice and she would be the mother of Jesus and by her simple lifestyle she would live social justice and by teaching her son as a mother she would instruct him on the importance of social justice in order to bring real change into the world. When we next meet Jesus, as a battle, we see that Jesus lived a very simple life and in his teachings he pointed out that it would be social justice that would change the world so everybody would have enough.

Reflection: what are your thoughts and actions on social justice is?

Prayer: I know that as a friend of Jesus I must be impressive in and involve them practicing social justice. There is so much injustice in our world... so many poor people, so many people oppressed, so much violence, so many homeless... I pray the Spirit of Christmas and inspire people everywhere to work for social justice in our world. Amen
