Daily reflections: Tuesday: June 23/15

Gospel: Matthew 7:6... sometimes a great teacher who did such a great teaching that it will travel down the centuries and be well known by everybody. Even though it is well known by everybody yet many people find it very difficult teaching to put into daily life. It seems that human nature finds it very difficult to deal with terms like jealousy, resentment, bitterness, and self-centeredness and as a result struggle to follow this teaching of Jesus. Their teaching is this, “in everything do to others as you would have them do to you”. Sometimes, we meet people who are living the victim position and to relate to such people is very difficult because they seem to be almost looking for some kind of put down, some kind of retaliation, and if there is a put down the victim feel very good about themselves since they have been noticed. It\'s important that we do not live out of  the victim position ourselves because when we do ,unconsciously, we may be looking for but down or criticism. It surely is only by the grace of God that we are able to experience healing and transformation, and it is a grace of God which enables us to treat people as we would want them to treat us.

Reflection: as you reflect on the words of Jesus... how are they working out in your life?

Prayer: Jesus, you are a great example and inspiration for all of us to never retaliated when criticized and you really showed the love of God by being very forgiving and embracing all people. I pray that by the grace of God I can move in that direction in my daily life. Amen
