Daily reflection: Friday: May 22/15

Scripter: Acts 24:27... this scripture continues the story of Paul\'s journey to Rome. It is not an easy journey. He was held in prison for two years and refuse to go back to Jerusalem to be tried by the Jewish tribunal and he appealed to Rome and to Rome he would go. He was not held in prison and was free to meet with the Jewish people in Rome and we read,” he welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ and without hindrance..” Again this shows is how circumstances, or the Holy Spirit, brought all to Rome and very was able to preach and teach and establish the Christian community in the city. Eventually, all is martyred in Rome.

Reflection: when events happen in your life do you attribute it to faith or the guidance of the Holy Spirit?

Prayer: As I reflect on my life with all the ups and downs, successes and failures, I see the hand of God bringing me to where I am today, and I give thanks to God for bringing me up out of the down times and renewing my faith. I pray that you will experience the same thing in your life as you journey as Paul experienced in his journey. Amen
