don\'t judge

Daily reflections: Monday: April 7/14

Gospel John 6:1... today\'s Gospel reveals the true heart of Jesus. The scribes and Pharisees brought a woman to Jesus who had committed adultery and according to them she should be punished by stoning. They asked Jesus what he would do and what they should do in this situation. Jesus said to them; “let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her”. The men turn on our heels and walked away. And Jesus said the woman; ”neither do I condemn you.”This story makes clear that Jesus was true to his words when he said I did not come to judge anybody but rather to seek and to say. It\'s a powerful example of compassion in action and decision not to judge or condemn anyone else because of their actions

Reflection: what do you learn from this story for yourself?

Prayer: As I reflect on this story I realize that at time’s I judge the actions of other people and sometimes even the people themselves. I pray that this story will be a healing story for me, then I will learn from Jesus to be more compassionate and forgiving always aware of my own mistakes. Amen
